INTO THE DEEP: Mexico and Copa Ka'i 2025

The season where Imagineers made the international leap, competed in Monterrey, and transformed that experience into the Inspire Award at Copa Ka'i 2025.

Historical Review

In 2025, we made history by becoming the first Venezuelan school female team to compete internationally at a Premier Event in Monterrey, Mexico.

Despite facing challenges such as visa restrictions that limited our delegation to only 5 members, we built our robot GAIA in just 12 days. We even completed the autonomous period on the same day of the competition.

We reached the Top 10, became Alliance Captains in playoffs, and won the Judge’s Choice Award. Beyond the results, we exchanged knowledge with teams from around the world, shared the story of FIRST Venezuela, and grew technically and personally.

After the international experience, we returned to Copa Ka'i with more preparation and ambition. In just 24 days, we reorganized as a full team of 15 members and developed our robot GAIA 2.0.

The competition took place at Sambil, where we earned the Finalist Alliance Award and achieved our biggest milestone up to that point: the Inspire Award, becoming tournament champions.
